My Panasonic DMR-ES20 DVD recorder was playing burned DVDs, and now, all of the sudden, it stopped, WHY? - dvd player has stopped playing burned dvds

My Xbox 360 does not read good ... But my old base Junker DVD ... NOT! What the hell?!?
The DVD burner can burn CDs have to read, but not a new one, and one of them said, a few days, so I know it worked ... Is there anything I can do or is it obsolete?
